Efo Kodjo Mawugbe represents the bridge between the old and the new generation of Ghanaian writers. He is a product of Mawuli School Ho, and the School of Performing Arts (University of Ghana, Legon). He holds an MFA degree in Theatre Arts (Playwriting) from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Diploma in Arts Administration from the Banff Centre for Arts Management in Calgary, Canada. |
He has worked in the public service as a Director of Arts/Culture for several years. Prior to joining the public service he was a Senior Research Assistant at the Centre for Cultural Studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (K.N.U.S.T) Kumasi.
Most of his work for stage have enjoyed the benefit of being produced widely both in Ghana and abroad, whilst his radio plays have been aired on GBC (Ghana) and BBC (London).
